Mesh meet-up
The organizers of the Mesh Conference held a gathering this past week to start building up some momentum for the 2007 Conference. Not that they really need to do it, considering how successful the last one was.It was a great opportunity to chat with a few people from the medium:
- Connie Crosby was kind enough to post a couple of notes, one in her blog own blog an another in slaw.ca, a co-operative blog about Canadian legal research and IT.
- Sacha and I had a good chat about blogging as a tool for bridging cultures (although I have the suspicion that she forgot about it). We had met a few times at DemoCamps, but this was our first opportunity to chat.
- Mark Evans from b5media shared some important insights about the growth of his company, which is a clear indicator of how good the blogging medium is becoming as a business platform. I'm already scanning through their blogs.
- But perhaps the highlight of the evening for me was meeting Leesa Barnes, the podcast guru behind Podonomics, who conducted my very first Podcast interview about the Global Culture project.
