Mesh meet-up

The organizers of the Mesh Conference held a gathering this past week to start building up some momentum for the 2007 Conference. Not that they really need to do it, considering how successful the last one was.

It was a great opportunity to chat with a few people from the medium:

• Connie Crosby was kind enough to post a couple of notes, one in her blog own blog an another in slaw.ca, a co-operative blog about Canadian legal research and IT.


• Sacha and I had a good chat about blogging as a tool for bridging cultures (although I have the suspicion that she forgot about it). We had met a few times at DemoCamps, but this was our first opportunity to chat.


• Mark Evans from b5media shared some important insights about the growth of his company, which is a clear indicator of how good the blogging medium is becoming as a business platform. I'm already scanning through their blogs.


• But perhaps the highlight of the evening for me was meeting Leesa Barnes, the podcast guru behind Podonomics, who conducted my very first Podcast interview about the Global Culture project.
